Grandson gets Muppet stamps from Gustamps

A few days ago Gustamps had the pleasure  of meeting John Freston. Mr. Freston came to Gustamps shop intent on starting up  a collection of British stamps. Mr. Freston told Gustamps he had a budget of £20 and wanted as many British stamps as he could have for that figure. Gustamps salesman offered Mr. Freston a mixed lot of all different mint & used stamps ranging from Queen Victoria to date - Mr. Freston was surprised to see unusual Royal Mail stamps depicting characters from children's books such as Peter Rabbit and Padington Bear. Mr. Freston said to Gustamps' salesperson "whatever will they bring out next - the Muppets?" Gustamps' salesperson  told Mr. Freston that the United States Post Office have already done that. Gustamps sales person showed Mr Freston a set of U.S.A. stamps of the Muppets depicting Kermit, Miss.Piggy and others. Mr. Freston was told that Gustamps price was £3.50 which included a Jim Henson stamp. Mr. Freston bought a set of Muppet stamps to take home to his grandson.

Gustamps would like to thank Mr. John Freston for letting Gustamps publish his experience at Gustamps' to share with other readers.

Video game stamps from Gustamps for Tom's son

Regular Gustamps customer Tom Redman was buying some Persian stamps on a recent visit to Gustamps, when Gustamps' manager remarked to Tom that it was unusual to see Tom without his young son, who usually accompanied him on his visits to Gustamps shop. Tom said his son was at home playing video games. Tom said to Gustamps' manager "I wish there were some video game stamps I could get him, to try and spark off an interest in stamp collecting." Gustamps manager told Tom "there is." Gustamps manager told Tom that France had issued a set of stamps depicting video game characters such as Pac Man and Lara Croft from Tomb Raider. Gustamps manager went on to mention Super Mario and said that Gustamps had the set available for sale at £3. Tom Redman was pleased to buy the French 10 value set for his son in addition to Iran and Persia stamps, for himself.

Thanks from Gustamps to Tom Redman for allowing Gustamps to publish his experience at Gustamps and share it with other readers.
