Latest Gustamps news
Gustamps sell postage stamps at discounted prices. Last Christmas, one of Gustamps customers purchased 100 first class stamps for her Christmas cards from Gustamps at £45 saving over £15 by not buying them directly from the Post Office. Whilst in Gustamps shop the lady customer said how quickly she licks and sticks stamps on her Christmas card envelopes. Gustamps told her that in 1995 a man in Felixtowe (England) set a new world record by licking and sticking over 400 stamps onto envelopes in 4 minutes. Gustamps customer was amazed and said 'that's over 100 stamps per minute, I can't beat that, it would take me at least an hour to lick and stick 100 stamps.' Lots of thanks to Mrs 'K' for letting Gustamps share her experience at Gustamps shop in Brighton with other stamp collectors.

Have I got the biggest strip in the world?
Mr Anker visited Gustamps stamp shop in Brighton. Gustamps was told by Mr Anker that he was going to start specialising in collecting stamps in se-tennant strips. Gustamps sold various se-tennant strips to Mr Anker including a strip of British 1966 stamps. The strip depicted scenes from the Bayeux Tapestry on six se-tennant stamps. Mr Anker said to Gustamps sales person, "It's enormous, have I got the biggest strip in the world?"
"Not quite," replied Gustamps sales person. At this point Gustamps sales person produced a se-tennant strip of eleven stamps from India commemorating the Indian 12th century poet Jayadeva and depicting scenes from his epic poem Geetagovinda. Mr Anker asked, "how much is Gustamps selling this Indian strip of stamps for?"
Gustamps price for the Indian strip of stamps was £2. Mr Anker bought the strip of Indian stamps and asked Gustamps sales person the same question "now have I got the biggest strip in the world?" This time Gustamps sales person's reply was "yes, I think so." Mr Anker is now a regular visitor to Gustamps shop adding to his collection of stamps on each visit.
