Gustamps appreciate your views and thank you.
I've been coming to Gustamps for a couple of years now and have always had a very good experience. It's a wonderful Aladin's Cave of a shop with something for every budget. he is very knowledgeable, helpful and always able to dig out something that I'm interested in without any pressure to buy.The stamps are very reasonably priced and you can buy individual stamps or much larger quantities. I love going in for a rummage.
ReplyDeleteWas in Brighton again this weekend to look if I could sell off my uncle's Stamp collection. There are a couple of shops, but this Gustamps shop owner offered me almost double of what the other shops offered me. Such a nice guy as well. I would recommend them over all the others we had been to. Thanks Mr Gustamps
ReplyDeleteFantastic service as always today at Gustamps. Thank you

ReplyDeleteThis was one of my most memorable shopping experiences. The service i received from the owner was extraordinary. He is warm, welcoming and incredibly knowledgeable about stamps. I will never forget my visit there. I would thoroughly recommend anyone to visit this shop!
ReplyDeleteA friend introduced me to Gustamps. It's a lovely place. The service is great and you can buy 1st class stamp worth 63 pence for 45 pence at his place. How amazing is that!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great place to get your postage stamps as first class and second class are considerably cheaper than at the post office. Gus is friendly and helpful and has some amazing stamps! You must visit if you are in Brighton!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy visiting Gus in his wonderful shop. to me it's just as a stamp shop should be ...piled high with every type of stamp. Whatever I ask about, Gus seems able to find it somewhere in his shop. I'm not a big spender but Gus always gives me plenty of time, takes an interest in what I'm collecting and puts things aside for me that he thinks I might like. Well worth a visit.
ReplyDeleteIf you visit brighton and don't visit gus you have missed a gem.
ReplyDeleteThis little shop is a must and you will save money too
First class stamps at 45pence , bought 90 stamps of different designs which will add interest to cards and letters. Also Bought some to frame ie Harry Potter , Bobby Moore and James Bond sets . I am not a collector but after visiting I felt like I should be.
Gus is a very helpful , generous , polite man with great knowledge of stamps.
Loved this shop , just try it for yourself.
He was extremely helpful when I went in to buy some stamps for a child's birthday present and even threw in some freebies! I will definitely go back.
ReplyDeleteA lovely man running a shop with a fabulous range of funky stamps for amazing prices- definitely recommend! Never want to buy my stamps anywhere else now!
ReplyDeleteFirst class service :o)
ReplyDeleteGustamps is one of the last interesting shops around. With so many high streets becoming uniform, it's stores like Gustamps, with a personalised service which should be looked after and championed. I buy all my stamps from Gus and have hopefully invested in a few sets which may prove lucrative when I'm old and grey. Gus is always helpful and informative and I recommend everyone to get their 1st and 2nd class stamps there as they are so much cheaper than normal.
ReplyDeleteFantastic shop! Great selection of first class stamps sold cheaper than those from the post office! In addition, a huge wealth of information on stamp history and collection. Excellent service; would highly recommend.

So great meeting you, Gus! You were a delight to chat with. I am so glad I came in for a few postcard stamps and left with great conversation - and a great deal! The stamps here were cheaper than I could have received at the post office. Can't wait to see you next time I'm in Brighton!
ReplyDeleteFound this shop by chance the first time I visited Brighton and made a bee-line for it this time to stock up on 1st class stamps. Thank you for the friendly service and your kindness.
ReplyDeleteAladdins cave for stamp collectors and dealers. Lovely to deal with Gus
ReplyDeleteGreat little gem of a shop, where you can save money on regular stamps.
ReplyDeleteAn incredibly informative and enjoyable experience from start to finish - and we saved a relative fortune on stamps for all our Christmas cards. Not only that, but 'gustamps' was very generous, providing us with topical stamps and collectibles for all the family, a great little addition to the Christmas list. Thank you, Mr Gustamps, for a customer experience which is almost unheard of these days - personal and of the highest quality.
ReplyDeleteHuge selection of stamps but also really helpful. Ok time in a busy shop to offer advice.
ReplyDeleteGreat little shop, quite unlike anything I've seen before - piled high with boxes of stamps, which take up most of the shop. Gus seems to know where to find any stamp you could possibly want. He would inspire anyone to want to become a stamp collector. Great for cheap postage stamps as well. A very generous man, passionate about stamps, and we very much enjoyed our conversation with him. Highlight of our trip to Brighton.
ReplyDeleteGreat place to get your Christmas stamps at a discount and also a first class shop with a wide selection of first day covers and stamps in general. Would strongly recommend a visit if you are in Brighton
ReplyDeleteHaving found Gustamps on the internet for a free valuation on a small collection of stamps and coins left to me by my grandfather I had a wonderful experience with Mr Gustamps who could not have been kinder or more patient. As well as purchasing some of the coins from me he spent a considerable amount of time advising me on how to dispose of my stamps and first day covers on eBay and on how and where to get further information about my remaining coins. The slightly Dickensian shop in The Lanes must be a delight to serious philatelists and his customer service is second to none. I left the shop with a very, very warm feeling in my heart.
ReplyDeleteVisited Gustamps again today to purchase more stamps for collection and also to buy 40 x 1st class stamps (for Christmas cards) at the bargain price of 45 p each. As always, such a pleasure to visit this very kind, informative and helpful gentleman - always a pleasure to visit him.
ReplyDeletea very well informed, kind and interesting man, spent over an hour in there, learnt a lot of history, gained a lot of knowledge across a broad range of subject matter, got a few beautiful sets of stamps and FDC's. truly one of the nicest and most genuine chaps you'll ever chat to, will be going every time we visit brighton now thats for sure!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the lovely stamps with beautiful pictures on and also cheaper than the post office! have been a couple of times & going back again!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful find and a knowledgeable and friendly owner. Not only is Gustamps going to save me a lot on postage for my eBay shop, it's a lovely place to peruse. I never knew what a world there is in stamps!
